Privacy Policy

KineticSight: Baseball ("the app") analyzes video of a baseball pitch and shows what it finds. KineticSight, a small independent project, runs the app and its server. This page explains what the app collects and what happens to it. Questions go to privacy@kineticsight.app.

What we collect

• Your account. The email address you sign in with, an optional display name and a password. The password is stored in scrambled (hashed) form, never as plain text. Our account provider also keeps sign-in records, such as when you signed in.
• Your pitching videos. Only the videos you choose to record or pick and upload. The app asks for camera, microphone and photo access so it can record a pitch or let you choose one.
• Your results. The numbers and coaching notes the analysis produces for a video.

What happens to an uploaded video

• The video is sent over an encrypted connection to the project's own server and analyzed automatically.
• The original upload is deleted when the analysis finishes. A processed copy of the video is kept only so your phone can download it, and the server deletes it and any other leftover files automatically within 15 minutes.
• The job's status and results are held on the server for up to 1 day so your phone can fetch them, then they expire.
• Your phone keeps your results and the processed video until you delete them or delete your account.

The analysis is done by software. We do not use your videos for advertising and we do not sell them.

Who else is involved

• Supabase hosts the login system and holds your account details. Its servers for this project are in Canada.
• Cloudflare carries the app's traffic to the server. Cloudflare may keep its own connection logs, such as IP addresses and times, under its own policy.

The app has no advertising and no analytics or crash-reporting tools built in.

Age

The app is for people aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian's knowledge. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete a teen's account and data at any time by emailing privacy@kineticsight.app.

Your choices and deleting your data

• In the app: open Settings and tap Delete Account. This removes your login and clears the results and videos saved on your phone.
• By email: if you cannot open the app, write from the address your account uses to privacy@kineticsight.app and we will delete the account as soon as reasonably possible. See how to delete your data.
• You can also remove the app from your phone, which removes the saved results and videos from that phone.

Changes
